OUR CAUSE:

REDUCE STORMWATER DRAINOFF & REPAIR OUR PRAIRIE HABITAT

The reason we started Prairie Protectors was to make sure we could plant enough prairie plants to help stop the excess rain water from causing flooding and destroying the ecosystem.

LESS BIODIVERSITY

As a result of the destruction of our ecosystem there is less biodiversity in our community because of a lack of native plants and animals.

FLOODING

Since there are no native plants that have long roots to suck up the water, the excess rain water causes floding

ECOSYSTEM DESTRUCTION

As more native plants are destroyed it causes more flooding and ends up destroying the ecosystem.
